Primoris Gas Operations in Little Canada, MN seeks experienced Design Technicians to create cost-effective designs that meet customer needs and adhere to Xcel Energy standards. Responsibilities include managing design projects from initial contact through post-project analysis, obtaining permits, executing contracts, and coordinating with city agencies, vendors and engineers to deliver value to customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or equivalent in drafting, design, automation, electronics, mechatronics, engineering, GIS or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as Designer I or equivalent.
• Proficiency in GIS, design software, work management programs and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Design safe operating facilities per Xcel Energy standards and interpret guidelines.
• Manage design projects from initial contact to post-project analysis and coordinate construction work plans.
• Obtain permits/easements and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Represent the company with government officials, contractors and engineers to serve customers.
