Job summary

UNS Gas in Prescott, AZ is seeking a Utility Technician to perform compliance tasks tied to natural gas distribution and related warehouse duties. The role includes data input, calibration of gauges/recorders, and maintaining extensive logs and documentation to support regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, basic computer literacy, and attention to detail, with a willingness to engage in safety-sensitive operations and DOT testing where required.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Prefer experience in gas transmission, distribution, construction & operations.
• Prefer experience in performing compliance, financial or operational reviews.
• Must have good oral and written communication skills and knowledge of computer programs.
• A combination of education and work experience will also be considered.
• Must be detail oriented and have ability to meet deadlines.
• Pre-employment drug testing and then be placed in the DOT random testing pool and subject to all phases of testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining compliance data entry, tracking and monitoring for Code Compliance.
• Perform field activities including gauge/pressure recorder calibrations and record keeping.
• Maintain logs for meters, invoices, orders, and compliance records; manage logs for inspections.
• Support warehouse duties and inventory, including daily transactions and material orders.
• Assist in QA/Audit preparation and maintain the records room with updated manuals.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
