Job summary

UniSource Energy Services is seeking a Utility Technician to perform compliance tasks related to natural gas distribution and general warehouse duties. Responsibilities include data input for code compliance, field patrols, meter logs, and coordinating with contractors.

Requirements include a high school diploma, strong communication, and attention to detail. Preference for forklift certification and DOT testing compliance; duties may expand to support QA audits and emergency planning.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Prefer experience in gas transmission, distribution, construction & operations.
• Prefer experience in compliance, financial or operational reviews.
• Must have good oral and written communication skills and knowledge of computer programs.
• Education plus work experience will be considered.
• Must be detail oriented and able to meet deadlines.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• DOT testing and random testing pool requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist in compliance tasks related to natural gas distribution; input and track code compliance data.
• Perform field activities including calibrations, patrolling, logs, and test recordings.
• Maintain logs for meter reading, delivery pressures, and emergency lists; support audits.
• Support warehouse duties: inventory, transactions, material ordering, and records.
• Coordinate with contractors, prepare for QA audits and maintain Emergency Plans.
