Job summary

WEC Energy Group is seeking a Dispatcher at our Chicago, Illinois location to coordinate gas service orders for field technicians serving Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas. The role requires attention to safety and coordination during emergencies and high call volumes.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years of operations experience in utilities, strong Microsoft skills, and customer interaction experience; evening, overnight, weekend shifts are required with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, HSED, or GED.
• 3+ years Operations experience in utilities or emergency management.
• 3+ years experience with Microsoft applications.
• 3+ years experience with customer interaction.

Responsibilities

• Assign emergency and non-emergency gas service orders to field technicians for PGL and NSG.
• Provide critical gas facility and customer data to technicians.
• Conduct well-being checks on field employees and coordinate with security, police and fire.
• Use multiple computer systems and communicate via radio and phone.
• Work evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.
• Handle high call volume with minimal supervision and multitask.
• Overtime is mandatory based on departmental needs.
