Job summary

Cleburne Chamber is seeking a dedicated technician to support the safe handling and filling of compressed gas cylinders and bulk containers in our facility in Texas. You will inspect, test, and tag cylinders, perform minor maintenance, and ensure accurate documentation and logs.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, valve work, and compliance with DOT standards. The role emphasizes safety training participation and teamwork in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow chemical handling, compressed gas filling, and plant safety procedures.
• Mechanical aptitude for valve repairs and minor equipment maintenance.
• Attention to detail when inspecting containers, testing samples, and recording production information.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively with a team.
• Willingness to complete required safety training and participate in emergency response duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, inspect, test, fill, and tag compressed gas cylinders and ton containers.
• Clean and paint containers; replace and rebuild cylinder valves.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and tankers; connect and disconnect railcars.
• Manufacture bleach and analyze product samples to verify quality.
• Complete filling logs and plant reports accurately.
• Perform minor maintenance on equipment and piping; maintain a clean work area.
• Inspect containers and components according to Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
• Attend safety training and serve on the Emergency Response Team.
