The City of Lexington is seeking a Gas Crew Leader to oversee skilled work in planning, coordinating, supervising, and performing installation, maintenance, and repair of natural gas distribution facilities. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six years of experience in construction, maintenance, and operations of a natural gas facility.
• Six months of supervisory experience required.
• Valid NC Class A CDL (or out-of-state CDL with transfer to NC in 60 days) and good driving record.
• Gas Line Fusion Certification.
• Completion of Natural Gas Career Development Program or Operator Qualification Plan.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and participate in installation, maintenance, and repair of natural gas distribution facilities.
• Monitor safety and regulatory compliance during operations and maintenance activities.
• Lead work crews and coordinate scheduling; participate in on-call rotations when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED
• Six years of experience in the construction, maintenance, and operations of a natural gas facility
• Six months of supervisory experience
• Valid NC Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) or valid out-of-state Class A CDL with the ability to transfer to NC Class A CDL within sixty days of employment and good driving record
• Gas Line Fusion Certification
• Completion of Natural Gas Career Development Program or the Natural Gas Operator Qualification Plan

Work Schedule

Monday - Thursday 7:00AM - 5:30 PM OR Tuesday - Friday 7:00AM - 5:30 PM. Paidbi-weekly.

Outside work in all weather conditions. On call.
