Job summary

Enbridge in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Gas Controller to oversee daily natural gas operations using SCADA to monitor valves, regulators, and pressures, ensuring safe, reliable gas flow and regulatory compliance.

You will coordinate field activities during planned and emergency events, direct response to alarms, and maintain accurate operating records while collaborating with field teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or associate degree preferred within engineering technology or related discipline.
• 1+ year of related natural gas, utility, or control-room experience; 3+ years if no technical diploma.
• Understanding of natural gas operations, pipeline networks, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to interpret data, detect issues, and propose corrective actions.
• Calm, focused, and decisive under pressure with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and reside within 60 minutes of the Cleveland office.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily natural gas operations to meet pipeline requirements safely and reliably.
• Monitor and control valves, regulators, compressors, pressures, and gas flows via SCADA.
• Respond to alarms and adjust pressures/flows; notify field personnel as needed.
• Direct field personnel during repairs, outages, pigging, and emergency operations.
• Analyze gas-control data, coordinate nominations with suppliers/storage, execute daily plan.
• Maintain accurate records and collaborate with field teams and partner departments.
