Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is offering a Gas Compressor Engineering Internship in the United States. Interns engage in challenging projects within various engineering functions and work under a mentor to apply classroom learning to real-world compressor design and development tasks.

Responsibilities include simulations, performance analysis, and cross-team collaboration. Onsite work five days a week; relocation support and a comprehensive intern benefits package are included where eligible.

Qualifications

• GPA of at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale
• Undergraduate Sophomore/Junior/Senior planning to attend graduate school or currently enrolled

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical simulations (FEA, CFD) and performance analyses
• Support development or execution processes and create design tools
• Provide hands-on manufacturing support and full-scale testing when needed
• Collaborate across teams to improve compressor products and processes
• Apply classroom knowledge to real-world internship projects
