Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician to manage idle unit preservation, routine and major maintenance, and reconfiguration to meet contract needs across storage yards in the US. You will work within safety and environmental policies and coordinate with field personnel and vendors.

Candidates should have a trade certification or related field experience, experience with natural gas compression, and the ability to operate independently with strong mechanical

Qualifications

• Technical or trade school certification or related field experience.
• Preferred at least 2 years of experience in natural gas compression.
• Valid driver’s license with a Motor Vehicle Record acceptable to USA Compression.
• Good communication/interface skills with customer field personnel, onsite vendors, and other tech teams.
• Ability to operate independently with little or no supervision.
• High degree of mechanical ability.
• Experience reading and understanding technical manuals.
• Experience in configuring natural gas compression equipment.
• Ability to work extended hours.
• Applicant must have the ability to legally work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and environmental policies.
• Preserve and seal idle units as they return to storage yards.
• Roll over and re-preserve idle units on a 180 day rotation.
• Repair packages and make ready for redeployment into active status.
• Perform major and minor scheduled maintenance procedures on idle units as necessary.
• Reconfigure compressor cylinder arrangements to meet new contract needs.
• Repair and maintain the heavy equipment inventory.
• Assist in loading and unloading of units in storage yards.
• Safely operate truck mounted cranes, forklifts and other lifting equipment.
• Maintain company vehicle according to company guidelines.
• Help maintain parts inventory for storage yards.
• Keep units clean and maintain safe working conditions.
