Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP seeks a Field Service Technician to service and maintain customer owned compression equipment across customer sites. You will work with customers and the supervisor, perform scheduled maintenance, and build strong customer relationships.

The role requires 2+ years in gas compression, relevant engine certifications, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work extended hours including weekends.

Qualifications

• Technical/trade school certification or additional work experience in related field.
• Prefer at least 2 years of experience in gas compression industry, with preference to CAT, Ariel and/or Cummins certifications and experience.
• Prefer experience with CAT 3500, 3600 engines, Waukesha VHP engines, and Cummins KTA engines.
• Applicant must have the ability to legally work in the U.S.
• Valid driver’s license with a DMV history acceptable to USAC.
• Excellent customer service and positive communication skills are critical to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and overhaul-related tasks on compression equipment.
• Understand and follow the company handbook along with all company/customer safety and environmental policies.
• Accurately gather and prepare data for reports critical to unit operations by assigned deadlines.
• Respond quickly to supervisor or customer inquiries.
• Work closely with the customer and supervisor on major repairs; escalate when necessary based on protocol.
• Maintain and operate company vehicle according to company guidelines.
• Work with sales team to identify new sales or equipment opportunities.
• Maintain and/or partner with the parts department to ensure sufficient parts.
• Keep each unit clean following good housekeeping rules and maintain safe working conditions.
• Maintain large or small horsepower units, gas lift or traditional compression units along with other related equipment associated with our business.
• Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
