Job summary

Eversource is seeking a Project Engineer, Gas Asset Management to support the development, expansion, planning, design, maintenance and operation of the gas system. You will help evaluate failures and provide resolutions to ensure safe, reliable gas service and contribute to the Asset Management Program’s multi-year plans.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least five years of related experience; gas experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of gas distribution construction and maintenance work practices.
• Knowledge of applicable governmental codes and regulations.
• Knowledge of risk management principles, developing mitigation plans, and financial forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain risk mitigation plans to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate resources required to complete processes or projects.
• Develop preliminary engineering designs and details as directed.
• Collaborate with other engineers to ensure consistency and teamwork.
• Assist in capital planning and budget tracking for gas assets.
• Provide support for emergency restoration efforts as needed.
