Midland Credit Management, an Encore Capital Group Company, is seeking an Internal Legal Specialist - Garnishments to support the Legal Operations team. This entry-level role focuses on reviewing garnishment tasks, ensuring accounts are properly handled, and aiding E-filing efforts.

You will work with cross-functional colleagues to maintain accuracy, meet deadlines, and improve operational workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Data entry experience and accuracy essential.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic reading comprehension and math skills required.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Comfortable with repetitive tasks and consistent performance.
• Basic understanding of legal terminology and document handling.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Read, review, and file legal documents including garnishments, releases, and turnover orders.
• Maintain a clean inventory by clearing backlogs and ensuring timely updates.
• Collaborate with operations leadership, team members, paralegals, and attorneys to meet monthly goals.
• Identify issues and contribute to process improvements and SOP writing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
