Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking a Stockroom Clerk to order, prepare and process garment inventories for delivery. You will help determine inventory levels, report stockroom records, and verify vendor orders for accuracy.

The role supports a fast-paced industrial laundry environment with opportunities for career development. Essential tasks include processing orders, tracking shortages, inspecting garments, and preparing items for delivery.

Qualifications

• Recognize colors and sizes, count and sort accurately.
• Adequate computer skills or ability to learn.
• Comprehend and follow written packing instructions or work orders.
• Comprehend and follow written and verbal direction.

Responsibilities

• Place garment orders using a computer, phone or fax, determine and maintain inventory levels, perform withdrawals, inventories, maintain stockroom records and prepare reports or orders.
• Process new customer contracts to build correct inventories.
• Receive new garments from vendors. Verify the final order against the billing invoice for accuracy.
• Identify and track shortages, back orders or other problems, notify supervision.
• Inspect garments for quality, alter/mend as needed using a sewing machine or by hand, then shelve the garment or put in use.
• Prepare garments according to route, customer and individual user, then place into route carts/bins for loading into delivery vehicles or designated area.
