Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking a dedicated Stockroom Clerk to manage garment inventories, process orders, and ensure accuracy from receipt to delivery. The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliable data entry, and teamwork within an industrial laundry setting.

The position involves handling Garment inventory, packing, labeling, and coordinating with supervisors to resolve back orders and shortages. Training and advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Recognize colors and sizes, count and sort accurately.
• Multi-task with a high degree of accuracy.
• Have adequate computer skills or ability to learn.
• Comprehend and follow written packing instructions or work orders.
• Comprehend and follow written and verbal direction.

Responsibilities

• Place garment orders using a computer, phone or fax, determine and maintain inventory levels, perform withdrawals, inventories, maintain stockroom records and prepare reports or orders.
• Process new customer contracts to build correct inventories.
• Receive new garments from vendors. Verify the final order against the billing invoice for accuracy.
• Identify and track shortages, back orders or other problems, notify supervision.
• Inspect garments for quality; alter/mend as needed; shelve or deploy.
• Prepare garments according to route; place into route carts/bins for loading.
• Continuously meet efficiency and safety standards for the position.
• Keep work area neat and clean.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and perform other tasks as directed by supervision.
