Garment Distribution Operator — Early Morning Shift

Job summary

Colonial Group in Odessa, TX operates an industrial laundry facility and relies on a team to process garments safely and efficiently. You will help handle merchandise into and out of the plant while maintaining quality and accuracy.

Key duties include following the garment numbering system, routing items, hanging garments by route, and reporting any quality or scheduling issues to supervision. A high school degree or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• Understand training and written/verbal instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic math.
• Good verbal and/or written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize with garment numbering (GID) and shipping schedule board.
• Follow shipping schedule and route garments accordingly (first/second/third sort).
• Move garments from supply rail to conveyors or hooks by route/number.
• Hang shirts by route, then pants, before proceeding to next batch.
• Inform supervisor of quality, mechanical, or schedule problems.
• Monitor for wrinkles, remove items not meeting quality standards (ink stains, tears, etc).
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow production practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
