Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Delaware seeks a Garment Assembler to prepare clean garments for route delivery by sorting, inspecting, and loading according to route and customer. This non-exempt role, sometimes called Garment Tie Out or 10 Sort Feeder, performs additional tasks as required to keep operations flowing.

Read garment labels, ensure quality, and follow packing instructions while working at a pace that meets delivery deadlines.

Qualifications

• Recognize colors and sizes; count and load garments accurately.
• Inspect and grade products; maintain quality standards.
• Read labels and follow written packing instructions; adhere to directions.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve finished garments from storage or rail system.
• Inspect for quality and re-route for mending if needed.
• Sort garments by route and customer; pack according to instructions.
• Load garments onto rails, carts, or into delivery vehicles.
• Identify shortages or routing problems and notify supervision.
• Fold or wrap garments and follow packing instructions.
• Maintain efficiency and safety standards; follow supervision.
• Use computer interface to resolve RFID assignments.
