Candidates must have a Commercial Pesticide Applicator - Category 3A License issued by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. This license must be maintained for the duration of employment.
The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) manages water supply, wastewater, stormwater, and pollution reduction for NYC. The Bureau of Environmental Planning and Analysis (BEPA) oversees Green Infrastructure design, construction, and maintenance. The Green Infrastructure Maintenance Unit seeks an experienced Gardener 2 to supervise maintenance of rain gardens, stormwater greenstreets, and landscaped areas.
This position is open to qualified persons with disabilities under the 55-a Program. NYC residency required within 90 days, with some exceptions for City employees.
