An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Gardener to join their Arterial Maintenance herbicide crew. This role involves maintaining the beauty of New York's arterial highways through effective weed control, tree planting, and landscape maintenance. Responsibilities include controlling weedy plants along arterial highways within the five boroughs. In addition to herbicide application, duties may involve tree planting, inspecting roadway landscape median plantings, turf establishment, manual weed control, and general landscape maintenance, including snow removal.
The candidate will operate and maintain hand and power gardening tools and equipment, make necessary adjustments, initiate repair requests, maintain simple records, and prepare reports. Perform related duties as required.
