Job summary

Chimes is seeking a dedicated grounds maintenance worker to oversee the general upkeep of gardens, plants, trees, and lawns at The Carlisle Army Barracks. The role requires operating hand tools and power equipment, planting, mowing, edging, and applying fertilizers while following safety and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities include maintaining pesticide and herbicide inventories, driving as needed, and supporting the crew leader during snow removal.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• PA Certification in Core-Pesticide and Herbicide and Ornamental Trees/Shrubs.
• Landscaping training desired.
• One year landscaping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily gardening tasks at locations needing services.
• Uses hand tools and power equipment.
• Preps soil and grades terrain for planting.
• Transplants and cultivates shrubs/trees.
• Mows and edges lawns and applies mulch where needed.
• Maintains pesticide/herbicide inventories and follows SDS requirements.
• Loads/unloads equipment and maintains vehicles and machinery.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays for snow removal when required.
