Harborview Medical Center Maintenance has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time Gardener 2.

Monday - Friday; 10:30am - 7:00pm

Department Description
Harborview Maintenance is a department of the Facilities & Capital Development Division. Our goal is to respond in a timely manner to your building maintenance needs; to make alterations and repairs to the systems needed to maintain patient care and a healing environment at Harborview.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Maintain grounds and landscapes at the only Level 1 Trauma, verified burn center and King County's safety net hospital to create a healing environment and contribute to UW Medicine's mission to improve the health of the public
Primary Job Responsibilities
Maintain institution grounds and landscapes of Harborview facilities
Prepare soil for planting, clean, service and maintain tools and equipment
Install, repair and operate lawn sprinkler systems
Install and maintain campus fences, rockeries, etc.
Use a variety of manual and power tools, apply pesticides and herbicides, assist in estimates of cost and feedback, read an interpret blueprints for projects; drive engineering service truck as required
Requirements
Physical ability to do required work AND one year of experience or training involving grounds maintenance, plant care, cultivation and landscape installation OR equivalent education/experience.
