- Monday – Friday; 10:30am - 7:00pm
- Day Shift DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Harborview Maintenance is a department of the Facilities & Capital Development Division. Our goal is to respond in a timely manner to your building maintenance needs; to make alterations and repairs to the systems needed to maintain patient care and a healing environment at Harborview. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- Maintain grounds and landscapes at the only Level 1 Trauma, verified burn center and King County's safety net hospital to create a healing environment and contribute to UW Medicine's mission to improve the health of the public PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain institution grounds and landscapes of Harborview facilities
- Prepare soil for planting, clean, service and maintain tools and equipment
- Install, repair and operate lawn sprinkler systems
- Install and maintain campus fences, rockeries, etc.
- Use a variety of manual and power tools, apply pesticides and herbicides, assist in estimates of cost and feedback, read an interpret blueprints for projects; drive engineering service truck as required REQUIREMENTS
- Physical ability to do required work AND one year of experience or training involving grounds maintenance, plant care, cultivation and landscape installation OR equivalent education/experience.
