Job summary

Longwood Gardens is seeking Garden Shop Retail Associates to support on-site retail operations in our 6000 sq. ft. Garden Shop. Responsibilities include delivering personalized service, maintaining displays, handling purchases, and ensuring a safe shopping environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong guest services skills, experience with POS systems, and the ability to work up to 28 hours per week, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Longwood Gardens is seeking Garden Shop Retail Associates to support our on-site retail operations in our 6000 sq. ft. Garden Shop. The Retail Associates are responsible for the operational readiness and daily assignments required to deliver an extraordinary experience to our guests in our Gardens Shop. Responsibilities include:

• Enhancing the guest experience by delivering personalized service, building strong relationships, and sharing product knowledge to meet customer needs
• Assisting with and maintaining visual presentations and merchandise standards
• Efficiently handling customer purchases, returns, and payments while following established cash-handling and point-of-sale protocols
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe shopping environment for both guests and staff
• Contributing to sales performance by supporting team goals and key retail metrics

The ideal candidates will possess:

• Flexible availability of up to 28 hours per week, including daytime, evening, weekend and holiday shifts
• Outstanding customer service, communication, and hospitality skills
• Proficiency with point-of-sale/register systems and Microsoft Office applications
• The ability to stand and sit for extended periods, and safely lift and carry a minimum of 10 pounds
