Job summary

Emigh Ace Hardware in Sacramento, CA is hiring a Garden Sales Associate to deliver friendly, knowledgeable service in our garden center. You will help customers with gardening questions, stay informed on promotions, and assist with merchandising and product knowledge. Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays are required.

No prior retail experience is necessary; training is provided to learn plants, soils, tools, and outdoor power equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or currently in school.
• Experience in trade skills a plus but training will be provided.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Puts "Customers First, Tasks Second" and assists customers in the garden center.
• Maintain awareness of promotions and inform customers accordingly.
• Increase product knowledge and explain uses to customers.
• Assist with merchandising and plant displays.
• Answer gardening questions and help with soils, plants, and outdoor equipment as needed.
