Job summary

Ace Hardware Johns Island is seeking a Sales Associate to assist in receiving, stocking, pricing, and maintaining a clean, inviting store environment. You will greet customers, answer questions, and provide friendly, personalized service to help customers find products.

You will support store operations, assist with merchandise resets, price changes, and stockroom maintenance, and you may operate a forklift after proper training.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering friendly customer service in a retail setting.
• Ability to organize merchandise and maintain appealing displays.
• Comfort stocking, shelving, pricing and inventory routine tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive representation of Johns Island Ace.
• Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
• Greet customers entering and throughout the store.
• Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store.
• Maintain clean, orderly sales floor, stock room and outdoor area.
• Assist with receiving, checking in and stocking of merchandise.
• Ensure signage is current and assist with price changes.
• Operate forklift with proper training.
• Communicate store issues to General Manager for follow-up.
• Participate in store meetings and be professional in appearance and actions.
