Job summary

Ace Hardware seeks a Garden Center Specialist to be the horticultural expert, maintaining healthy live goods and merchandising while delivering exceptional customer service. You will assist with plant selection, merchandising, and seasonal displays, train associates on plant care and customer service, and work outdoors, lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain health of all flowers, shrubs, trees, vegetables, herbs, and houseplants through watering, pruning, fertilizing, and pest management.
• Inspect incoming plant shipments and ensure quality merchandising.
• Identify plant diseases, insects, nutrient deficiencies, and environmental stress.
• Assist customers with plant selection and gardening advice.
• Recommend complementary products and maintain attractive seasonal displays and pricing.
