Landscape Garden Centers in Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking a Garden Center Events Lead to plan, promote, and run engaging events and programs that connect customers with our products and community partners.

You will develop workshops, demonstrations, and seasonal activities, coordinating logistics, partnerships, and promotions to grow traffic and sales while delivering a welcoming customer experience.

Qualifications

• Event planning experience: 2–5 years in events, marketing, retail, or community relations.
• Ability to build partnerships with local businesses, schools, nonprofits and vendors.
• Creative mindset with initiative to brainstorm and engage customers and the community.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple events and deadlines.
• Excellent communication with customers, vendors, businesses, and internal teams.
• Customer-focused mindset to create memorable experiences and welcome guests.
• Collaborative approach; works independently yet partners with others to achieve goals.
• Comfort with technology and using online stores, scheduling, and marketing tools.
• Gardening center experience or knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and coordinate creative events, workshops, demonstrations, Make & Take classes, and seasonal activities.
• Take events from idea through planning, promotion, execution, and follow-up.
• Coordinate event logistics: scheduling, registration, supplies, staffing, setup, and cleanup.
• Identify opportunities for partnerships and community involvement.
• Represent Landscape Garden Centers at events and build brand awareness.
• Follow up with customers and partners to strengthen relationships.
• Help grow sales through promotions and customer engagement initiatives.
• Support garden center operations during busy seasons and events.
