Job summary

The Club at Glenmore is seeking a garde-manger with a strong work ethic and a passion for food in a private community near Charlottesville. This morning cold prep role focuses on pantry, salads and desserts, with occasional hot line opportunities but no late nights.

We prefer a full-time fit but may split the position with another candidate. Health insurance for full-time staff and room for professional growth are available; shifts may include a few evenings depending on the season.

Job description

The Club at Glenmore is situated in a private residential community about five miles east of Charlottesville on rt. 250. We are currently seeking a garde-mangerwith a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a passion for food.

While our preference is to find someone who is a good full-time fit, this could also be a part-time position split between two candidates. Health insurance available for all full-time team members, and there is room for professional growth for the right candidate. While this is a morning cold prep position, if you have any interest in picking up an occasional evening on the hot line there are no late nights, the restaurant closes 8-9pm depending on the season.

Job Summary:

• Support the delivery and execution of quality food service to members and guests
• Work cold prep/production when needed - this will be the bulk of the job: pantry, salads, and desserts
• The ability to fill in on the hot line if needed would be great too
• Stocking stations when needed
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness
• Manage and rotate inventory when needed.

• Previous culinary experience needed

Compensation is $17-20hour, depending on experience.
