Interstate Waste Services is seeking a Collection Helper to support our garbage truck operations in Closter, NJ. The role involves collecting refuse by hand and loading it into a heavy-duty vehicle, with supervision by the Operations Manager and route supervisors.

Qualified candidates should be comfortable with early starts (5 AM), be at least 18, and capable of lifting 50-75+ lbs. Benefits include comprehensive health and retirement options; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Applicants must meet physical standards as specified above.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Experience in sanitation industry is strongly preferred.
• Position requires a team-player attitude in close quarters with others.

Responsabilités

• Collect refuse from customer locations into a heavy-duty sanitation vehicle, primarily by hand.
• Assist the driver with maneuvering into collection and disposal positions.
• Maintain and participate in daily clean-up of the vehicle.
• Learn garbage routes to better assist the driver.
• Attend mandatory safety meetings and required trainings.
