Job description

Gill Hauling, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a safety-conscious Local CDL Route Driver to join the team in South Sioux City, Nebraska.

Pay Range: $21 - $23 per hour + $5,000 Stay-on Bonus!

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:30 am - Route Complete

What we do: We provide trash and disposal services to the local community. As a vital team member, you will be responsible for safely operating a Commercial CDL Truck to deliver dumpster containers to customers while providing excellent service. This includes duties such as:

• Safely driving a Commercial CDL Truck in various environments (Residential, Construction, Commercial, etc.)
• Determining the best, most convenient drop-off locations for dumpsters to prevent property damage
• Carefully operating hydraulic controls to load/unload dumpsters
• Securing and covering loads properly, considering weight shifts before departure
• Reading route sheets and servicing each customer accordingly
• Performing daily pre- and post-trip inspections
• Interacting courteously with customers
• Other related duties as assigned

Work Environment: Trash hauling is physically demanding. You will work in all weather conditions, around heavy diesel equipment, sometimes in dirty environments. Be prepared for:

• Heavy physical activity, including walking, lifting (over 75 pounds), pushing, and pulling
• Exiting and entering high trucks
• Exposure to outdoor weather, fumes, vibration, and noise
