Gill Hauling, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a safety-conscious Local CDL Route Driver to join the team in South Sioux City, Nebraska.

Pay Range: $21 - $23 per hour + $5,000 Stay-on Bonus!

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:30 am - Route Complete

What we do: We provide trash and disposal services to the local community. As a vital team member, you will be responsible for safely operating a Commercial CDL Truck, delivering dumpster containers to customers, and providing excellent service. Your duties include:

• Safely driving a Commercial CDL Truck in various environments (Residential, Construction, Commercial, etc.)
• Determining the best, most convenient drop-off locations for dumpsters to avoid property damage
• Operating hydraulic controls to load/unload dumpsters
• Securing and covering loads properly, considering weight shift before departure
• Reading route sheets and servicing customers as assigned
• Performing daily pre- and post-trip inspections
• Interacting courteously with customers
• Other related duties as assigned

Work Environment: Trash hauling is physically demanding. You will work in all weather conditions, around heavy diesel equipment, sometimes with machinery assistance. Be prepared for:

• Extensive physical activity, including heavy lifting over 75 pounds, walking, and pushing/pulling
• Exposure to physical risks from moving parts, requiring safety precautions
• Outdoor weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, and cold

Minimum Job Requirements:

• At least 21 years old with a satisfactory driving record
• Class A or B CDL, or ability to obtain one
