Job summary

Pivot Parking LLC seeks a Parking Garage Maintenance Technician to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of the 333 Commerce garage in Nashville.

The role covers routine maintenance, repairs, safety compliance, documentation, and courteous customer service, with evening hours Thursday to Sunday 10pm–3am. Indoor work with occasional outdoor tasks, following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in maintenance or facilities management is advantageous.
• Prior experience in building maintenance or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems commonly found in parking garages.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections of parking garage structures and equipment to identify maintenance needs (lighting, elevators, gates).
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments to parking equipment (ticket dispensers, payment kiosks, access gates, elevators).
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes; monitor fire safety, ADA accessibility, and signage.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventories; submit reports with recommendations.
• Interact professionally with patrons, assisting with parking policies and directions; address inquiries and issues.

Job Description Summary:

The Parking Garage Personnel is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of parking garage: 333 Commerce garage

Schedules:

Thursday to Sunday 10pm to 3am

Key Responsibilities:

Routine Maintenance:

• Perform regular inspections of parking garage structures, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs, such as lighting fixtures, elevators, and gates

Repair and Troubleshooting:

• Perform minor repairs and adjustments to parking equipment, such as ticket dispensers, payment kiosks, access gates, and elevator systems.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards for parking garage operations, including fire safety, ADA accessibility, and building codes.


• Conduct regular inspections of safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, emergency lights, and signage, to verify proper functionality and readiness for emergencies.


• Implement corrective measures to address safety hazards and maintain a secure environment for patrons and employees.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, equipment manuals, and inventory of supplies and spare parts.


• Prepare and submit maintenance reports detailing completed tasks, ongoing issues, and recommendations for improvements to parking garage management.

Customer Service:

• Interact professionally with patrons and visitors, providing assistance and information as needed regarding parking policies, directions, and facility amenities.


• Respond to customer inquiries or complaints related to maintenance issues, addressing concerns promptly and courteously and assist management with traffic flow and lot closures on an as needed basis

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in maintenance, building trades, or facilities management is advantageous.


• Previous experience in building maintenance, construction, or related field is preferred.


• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems commonly found in parking garages.


• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.


• Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and climbing.


• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.

Working Conditions:

• The Parking Garage Maintenance Technician works primarily indoors within parking garage facilities, with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions when performing exterior maintenance tasks.


• The position may involve working at heights and in confined spaces, requiring adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment.


• Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required to accommodate maintenance schedules and respond to emergency repair needs.
