Stellantis External CX is seeking a Prototype Garage Mechanic (SBU) in Michigan. You will diagnose vehicle systems, perform engine/transmission changes, and implement engineering changes in a team-focused shop.

The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and ability to read schematics. Valid driver’s license and willingness to collaborate with colleagues are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years' Auto Service experience.
• Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools.
• Valid driver's license with no physical restrictions.

Responsabilités

• Perform diagnostics of vehicle systems, engine/transmission changes, electrical diagnostics, and reworks to adapt engineering changes.

Prototype Garage Mechanic (SBU)

• Work to be performed consists of General Mechanic Knowledge
• Diagnostic of all vehicle systems, Engine/Transmission changes, Electrical diagnostics, and re-works to adapt engineering changes

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Auto Service
• Possess basic computer skills: MS Office, Teams, Etc.
• Diagnostic tool capability (CDA, Canalyzer, etc.) wire harness fabrication and rework, reading of schematics, utilize OWN tools
• Able to work in team environment
• Strong emphasis on excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and teamwork
• Valid Driver's License, No Physical Restrictions

Preferred Qualifications:

• S.E. certified
• Strong background in Fabrication
• Strong background in EV vehicle diagnostics
• Minimum of 3 years of auto dealership service experience
• Two-year technical degree in electronics, experience servicing vehicles
• Able to work Overtime and potential travel
