Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in Garage Door Service or related mechanical trades.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of residential garage door systems and safety devices.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot garage doors, openers, springs, cables, and sensors.
• Perform skilled repairs and routine maintenance for safe operation.
• Explain repair needs and options to homeowners with clarity.
• Maintain detailed service records of parts used and labor.
• Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Keep inventory organized in the vehicle for daily operations.
• Respond to on-call requests on a rotating basis (if applicable).
• Adhere to company quality standards and local codes.
