AppleOne Employment Services is seeking a mechanically inclined Garage Door Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Santa Clara, CA. This field-based role involves hands-on troubleshooting and working directly with residential customers to provide practical repair or installation solutions.

The Technician will diagnose garage door and opener issues, perform service work, and deliver a strong customer experience from first visit through completion.

Qualifications

• Diagnose residential garage door and opener issues in a field service environment.
• Perform repairs, service work, and installations for garage doors and related equipment.
• Provide customer-facing recommendations and consultative sales support.
• Communicate clearly with homeowners throughout the service process.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred in customer service, sales, home services, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Visit residential customers to inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot garage door and opener issues.
• Recommend repair, replacement, or installation solutions based on customer needs.
• Perform garage door repairs, opener service, installations, and related field tasks.
• Explain technical findings clearly while providing consultative sales recommendations.
• Deliver excellent customer service through timely communication and quality workmanship.
• Maintain a safe, organized, customer-focused approach in a field-based environment.
