GarageCo Intermediate LLC (West Bath, ME) is seeking a Garage Door Technician to service and repair our range of commercial and residential products, including doors and dock equipment. You will work at West Bath, ME, reporting to the General Manager, in a full-time role with a focus on quality and safety.

The role involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, keeping accurate service documentation, and maintaining inventory on the company truck.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Experience preferred but willing to train construction experience.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Acceptable MVR for auto insurance.
• Able to pass pre-employment screening including drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Service commercial and residential garage door products and related systems per manufacturer specifications.
• Identify and repair mechanical and electrical failures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on systems.
• Maintain inventory on company vehicle and proper use of parts and tools.
• Keep documentation of services performed, payments due and items for completion.
• Maintain a safe work environment at warehouses and job sites.

Summary

In the role of Garage Door Technician, you will assume a pivotal responsibility in the maintenance and repair of our full offering of commercial and residential products, including garage doors, dock equipment, and more.

Duties

• Service commercial and residential garage door products & related systems per manufacturer specifications and ensure customer satisfaction with completed work.
• Identify and repair mechanical and electrical failures.
• Perform preventive maintenance services.
• Maintain inventory on the company truck and understand the proper use of all parts, tools, etc.
• Keep proper documentation of services performed, amounts owed/paid, outstanding items for job completion, etc.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment at both our warehouse and job sites.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Experience preferred, but willing to train someone with construction experience
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License
• Must have an acceptable MVR to be added to our auto insurance policy.
• Be able to pass pre-employment screening, including a drug test & background check
• Must have dependable, reliable transportation to and from your base office location.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of garage door install/service experience
• Welding, OSHA 10, first aid, and/or CPR certification(s)
