Precision Door Service is hiring a Garage Door Technician in San Diego to diagnose issues, present solutions, and deliver a positive customer experience during residential visits. Responsibilities

Garage Door Technician

Join Precision Door Service as a Garage Door Technician and become the trusted expert homeowners rely on for repairs, recommendations, and exceptional service. This role combines technical expertise, customer service, and consultative sales to diagnose garage door issues, present solutions, and deliver a positive customer experience.

Technicians will complete scheduled residential service appointments, identify customer needs, provide repair recommendations, and educate homeowners on available solutions. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, customer-focused, professional, and comfortable building relationships and closing sales opportunities.

Compensation (San Diego)

• $25/hour during training (up to 8 weeks)
• After training: 100% commission
• Weekly payroll (every Friday)

Work Environment

• Field-based role with scheduled residential appointments
• Requires driving throughout the service area
• Exposure to varying weather conditions, dirt, dust, noise, equipment, and other onsite conditions

Strong candidates will have mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting and repair experience, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to build rapport with homeowners. The role involves traveling to residential customer appointments, diagnosing garage door and opener issues, recommending repair or replacement solutions, presenting service options, preparing estimates, completing repairs and installations, collecting payments, and identifying additional sales opportunities when appropriate. Candidates should be comfortable working independently in a field-based environment, explaining technical information in a clear manner, and contributing to a positive customer experience while maintaining a professional and safety-focused approach.
