Job summary

Garage Door Store in Waite Park, MN is hiring a Garage Door Service Technician to repair, maintain, and install garage doors and openers. You will diagnose issues, perform safety inspections, and communicate clear estimates to customers on a day shift with a competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with a variety of hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and adjust residential and commercial garage doors and door openers.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural issues with components.
• Perform routine inspections for alignment, lubrication, and safe operation.
• Replace worn parts such as springs, rollers, hinges, and weather stripping.
• Operate lifts, forklifts, and hand/power tools safely on job sites.
• Provide estimates, explain service needs, and collect payments professionally.
• Maintain records of services performed and load/unload materials as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Repair, maintain, and adjust residential and commercial garage doors and garage door openers
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural issues with products, doors, tracks, springs, cables, sensors, and openers
• Perform routine inspections to ensure proper alignment, lubrication, and safe operation of equipment
• Replace worn or damaged parts, including springs, rollers, hinges, seals, and weather stripping
• Operate scissor lifts and forklifts to access elevated work areas and transport materials and equipment
• Operate hand and power tools, and measuring instruments safely and efficiently
• Safely operate company vehicles, including occasional pulling of trailers with tools, equipment, and supplies
• Maintain accurate records of services performed
• Provide customers with estimates, explain service needs, answer technical questions, and collect customer payments in a professional manner
• Load, transport, and unload tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites
• Other duties as assigned

What are some requirements of the job?
