Job summary

Twin City Garage Door in New Hope, MN is seeking an Experienced Garage Door Service Technician to repair, maintain, and adjust residential and commercial garage doors and openers.

This full-time, day-shift role pays $25-$30 per hour and requires garage door service experience, mechanical aptitude, and a valid driver’s license. We offer a sign-on bonus, PTO, holidays, health benefits, retirement plans, and ongoing leadership development.

Qualifications

• Commercial or residential garage door service experience.
• Must be able to lift 75+ pounds.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and adjust residential and commercial garage doors and openers.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural issues with doors and tracks.
• Perform routine inspections for proper alignment and lubrication.
• Replace worn parts such as springs, rollers, hinges.
• Operate scissor lifts and forklifts to access work areas.
• Load, transport, and unload tools and materials.
• Provide customers with estimates and collect payments.
• Maintain accurate service records.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural issues with products, doors, tracks, springs, cables, sensors, and openers
• Perform routine inspections to ensure proper alignment, lubrication, and safe operation of equipment
• Replace worn or damaged parts, including springs, rollers, hinges, seals, and weather stripping
• Operate scissor lifts and forklifts to access elevated work areas and transport materials and equipment
• Operate hand and power tools, and measuring instruments safely and efficiently
• Safely operate company vehicles, including occasional pulling of trailers with tools, equipment, and supplies
• Maintain accurate records of services performed
• Provide customers with estimates, explain service needs, answer technical questions, and collect customer payments in a professional manner
• Load, transport, and unload tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites
• Other duties as assigned
