Job summary

Precise Garage Doors is seeking an experienced Garage Door Service Technician who specializes in diagnosing and repairing residential systems. This is not an installer position; you will work on advanced service calls with a company vehicle and year-round, full-time work.

Compensation is commission-based with earning potential from $70,000 to $180,000 per year. You’ll deliver high-quality repairs, outstanding customer service, and maintain safety and professional standards on every job.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on garage door service and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities.
• Experience with LiftMaster, Genie, Chamberlain, and other major opener brands.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Dependable, professional, and detail-oriented.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential garage doors, openers, springs, cables, rollers, and related components.
• Identify the root cause of mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform service calls, tune-ups, and preventative maintenance efficiently and accurately.
• Communicate findings and repair options clearly with customers.
• Recommend appropriate solutions based on the customer's needs.
• Complete invoices and collect payments when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work vehicle and job site.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
