A1 Garage Door Service is seeking an Installer for residential garage doors. The job is physically demanding but our team will train you on everything you need to know, so you can thrive in your own market.

Our four‑week apprenticeship at the A1 Training Academy in Phoenix, AZ includes paid hours, travel coverage, and a $1,000 completion bonus. After training you’ll become a junior installer and work in your market with growth potential.

Qualifications

• 21 years old and valid driver’s license (3+ years driving record)
• Able to bend, climb, kneel and stand for long periods
• Physically able to lift 75lbs, lift garage door panels above head
• Able to stand on ladder
• Basic knowledge of hand tools (Power drill, hammer, saw etc.)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check
• Knowledge of basic software/navigation apps/tablet and computer use

Responsibilities

• Install new garage doors for residential customers
• Remove existing door and mechanical parts
• Replace worn or broken door parts using tools
• Assemble mechanical parts
• Install springs, sections, slats, and hardware
• Run wiring to connect equipment
• Lubricate and test mechanical parts for proper functioning
• Educate customers on upgraded parts and services and ensure satisfaction
• Document activities related to installations
