Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a User Research Specialist in Irvine, onsite, to plan and execute qualitative and quantitative studies evaluating product usability and feature effectiveness.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define goals, translate findings into actionable recommendations, and present insights to stakeholders while managing multiple studies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, HCI, HFE, HCDE, or related field; Master's/PhD preferred.
• Experience designing and conducting user research across qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Strong research, data analysis, and reporting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to present to diverse audiences.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Fast-paced, iterative product environment preferred.
• Must be an avid gamer with professional gaming research experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run qualitative and quantitative user research studies.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define goals and align with timelines.
• Prepare materials, select methodologies, and manage study logistics for interviews, surveys, usability tests, and focus groups.
• Conduct moderated and unmoderated sessions and ensure high-quality data collection.
• Analyze findings to identify patterns, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
• Translate insights into actionable recommendations for product development and iteration.
• Prepare and present findings to stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner.
• Communicate progress, timelines, and outcomes to project teams.
• Manage multiple studies concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
