Job summary

The Maverick Casino & Hotel Elko seeks a Gaming Revenue Auditor to perform daily audits of cage, slots, table games, and count room areas, ensuring compliance with Title 31, MICS, SICS, and company policies; you will prepare reports for the CEO and CFO.

Requirements include a high school diploma with accounting coursework or equivalent, 2+ years in auditing or accounting (gaming preferred), and proficiency with Excel, Outlook, and 10-key calculators; must be 21+ and able to obtain a Nevada

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with completion of college-level accounting courses or equivalent experience.
• Two or more years of recent auditing or accounting experience, preferably within a gaming environment.
• Experience in an office environment or casino environment preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain State of Nevada Gaming Card.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook applications and 10-Key Calculator.
• Must be thoroughly knowledgeable of Title 31, MICS, SICS, and internal controls or have the ability to learn.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• Effective written and oral communication skills required.
• Knowledge of audit functions.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work required.

Responsibilities

• Audit daily records of gaming revenue departments.
• Determine compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Prepare manual and computer accounting reports.
• Work with departments to ensure accuracy of records.
• Perform daily audit of cage, slots, table games, electronic games, and count room areas.
• Investigate and report discrepancies from audit process.
• Prepare information for CEO and CFO reports.
• Maintain accurate audit records and files.
• Anticipate changes and opportunities to improve systems and procedures.
• Investigate discrepancies and report findings to DOF.
