Job summary

GameStop in the United States is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in all facets of store operations and to promote a sales culture by sharing product knowledge with guests. Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or accredited bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.
• At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, address questions/concerns quickly and courteously; recommend items and promotions.
• Support the shopping environment and sales initiatives to build guest relationships.
• Process guest purchases/returns using POS and ensure accurate transactions.
• Elevate customer issues to Store Manager when needed.
• Promote GameStop guest benefits like reservations, trade-ins, and Pro Rewards.
• Assist Store Manager with onboarding, training, and policy compliance for staff.
• Supervise associates in the Store Manager's absence and ensure coverage.
