Job summary

The Tohono O’odham Nation in Glendale, AZ seeks an Audit professional to conduct systematic inspections of Gaming Facility operations, ensuring compliance with the Gaming Ordinance, Compact, IGRA, and NIGC standards. The role includes reviewing device reports, preparing audit findings, and coordinating with regulators and independent auditors.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting and at least two years of auditing or gaming investigations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or closely related field and two years' work experience in auditing or gaming investigations; or an equivalent combination of training, education, and work experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of this position.
• Must be certified by the Arizona Department of Gaming and/or Licensed by the Tohono O'odham Nation before hire.
• May require driving privileges and background checks as part of employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct systematic inspections or audits of the Gaming Facility operation for compliance with Gaming Ordinance and Compact.
• Audit daily device reports for accuracy, consistency, and reasonableness.
• Review Internal Control Policies and Procedures for admin, fiscal, and operational functions.
• Submit reports with findings and corrective action recommendations.
• Follow up on corrective action plans to verify effectiveness.
• Coordinate with Arizona Department of Gaming Compliance and independent auditors.
• Prepare and present audit reports and maintain supporting documentation.
