The position of Gaming Auditor is a full-time position with the South Dakota Commission on Gaming. For more information on the Commission on Gaming, please visit https://dor.sd.gov/businesses/gaming/.

The Gaming Auditor will conduct gaming revenue tax and compliance audits, enforce the rules and regulations of the South Dakota Commission on Gaming, and participate in evaluations of casino business practices through onsite observation programs. We offer a competitive salary, paid vacations, paid holidays, and paid sick leave. Work hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Ideal Candidate Will Have

A minimum education of a high school diploma/GED. Highly preferred candidates will have experience in gaming accounting and/or auditing. Experience working in collaborative team environments and demonstrating effective time management and organizational skills with an attention to detail will be highly beneficial. Equally important is a strong work ethic, integrity, interpersonal skills, discretion, confidentiality, and a positive attitude.

Knowledge Of

  • Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook;

This position is exempt from the Civil Service Act. This position is eligible for Veterans’ Preference per ARSD 55:10:02:08.
