Job summary

LA28 seeks a Manager, GMS - Games Services Apps to lead the technology that runs the Games, delivering a prioritized roadmap across Medical, Logistics and Architecture systems.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on technical software solution experience, strong project management skills, and proficiency with structured deployments, UAT, and release management. You will collaborate across IOC, venues, and providers to enable reliable Games delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience administering technical software solutions.
• Proven track record managing end-to-end technical implementations, with project-management skills to prioritize, control scope, manage risks, and deliver on time.
• Experience with structured deployments, including user acceptance testing and release management.
• Fluent in project-management frameworks (PMP or Prince2) and tools such as Smartsheet, Asana, Monday, or MS Project.
• An intellectually curious, optimistic, patient, and kind approach to working with others.
• A self-starter who defines tasks, seeks feedback, and evolves the work.
• Builds strong relationships across an organization, balancing assertiveness with diplomacy and managing change effectively.
• A civic-minded attitude, with interest in or experience working for a non-profit and the mission of the Games.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the roadmap to implement key LA28 business solutions, including Medical, Logistics, and Architecture technology.
• Liaise with stakeholders to align initiatives with technology, and document use cases, requirements, and success criteria into clear project plans.
• Evaluate new technologies, develop RFPs, assess vendor responses, and identify needed system advancements.
• Support development and maintenance of integrations between enterprise tools and business systems.
• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders - the IOC, LA28 Functional Areas, external Service Providers, and venues - to plan the Master Schedule and Games delivery milestones.
• Support planning, testing, and integration of the games management applications, and recommend process improvements and automations.
• Triage system requests and provide day-to-day support, coordinating with providers on SLAs and with cyber security and architecture teams on assurance and risk mitigation.
