Job description

King Show Games, Inc., a video game development company, is currently interviewing qualified applicants interested in pursuing a career in video game development. We are looking for people who are innovative, talented, creative, and passionate about the gaming industry. Job Summary
Review and test games at many stages of development from an early prototype stage through the end of the development cycle. Provide additional support to company personnel, including computer maintenance, software and hardware installation.

Salary range: $32-$42k

Responsibilities

• Play test and provide quality control for development and prototype game builds in a timely manner, throughout the game development cycle on multiple platforms.
• Identify and report bugs using well written and comprehensive descriptions, photos, and videos.
• Thoroughly review and test game builds to verify bug fixes have been implemented.
• Create and archive game reference documents, images, and videos.
• Configure slot machines with appropriate games and features, and periodically move slot machines.
• Maintain and document hardware and software for slot machines and other video game devices to ensure proper functionality and presentation.
• Assist the IT department with monitoring and responding to help desk tickets, setting up new computers, software and hardware installations, and interoffice moves.
• Maintain a high-quality standard of work throughout all aspects of the job.
• Assist with event setup and cleanup as needed.

Qualifications Required

• High school or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Experience with Photoshop is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and self-motivated.
• Quick learner; ability to retain information/changes/updates and quickly apply new learnings.
• Must be able to play games thoroughly and produce game quality control reports in a timely manner with attention to detail, and work in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Technical computer skills and knowledge.
• Ability to assist in moving slot/gaming machines (up to 400lbs) with tools and assistance.
• Ability to tolerate prolonged exposure to screen light and maintain focus during extended periods of screen time.
• A passion for video games.
• Must be able to meet or exceed set project objectives, milestones and deadlines, which will entail extra work time as needed (work hours beyond a normal work week).
