Job summary

Barstow Community College is seeking a Game Management staff member to support home game day events for the Athletics program. This is a Short Term Temporary Assignment and a part-time position, up to 30 hours per week, with work likely in evenings and on weekends.

Responsibilities include managing the scoreboard, running game clocks, tracking and reporting statistics, acting as game announcer, and handling equipment as needed, with additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Requires reading, communication, and problem solving skills equivalent to high school education or GED.
• Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of diverse student and staff backgrounds.

The Barstow Community College Game Management will work home game day events with various duties assigned by supervisor concerning game day events.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

• Manage the scoreboard
• Run game clocks
• Track and report game statistics
• Serve as game announcer
• Retrieve and give balls at games
• Additional duties related to executing game day events as assigned by Supervisor

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
This position is a Short Term Temporary Assignment.
Environment: Work is performed in indoor and outdoor environments; work with a variety of athletic equipment; exposure to noise, dust, unpleasant odors, and inclement weather conditions; work and/or walk on various types of surfaces including slippery or uneven surfaces. Positions may be required to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
