Job description

Looking to break the mold and build unforgettable games? Join a game dev studio run by actual gamers.

Bloober Team is not your usual layoff-prone studio. We've got a solid foundation with big plans for the future and believe strongly in creating a collaborative environment where every voice matters.

Here, you'll have the chance to co-create and leave your mark on the gaming industry, working on exciting new projects that all share Bloober Team’s unique horror-infused DNA.

What sets us apart?

  • Inclusive culture: We believe in fostering a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels valued and empowered.

  • Remote-friendly options: We offer flexibility, allowing you to contribute your best work from wherever you thrive.

  • Solid foundation: As a financially stable company with a clear vision, we invest heavily in our team and our projects.

  • Passionate team: You'll be surrounded by dedicated individuals who share your love for creating compelling horror experiences.

Currently we are looking for:

Game Designer who not only understands the craft but feels the essence of horror.
In this role, you will be evaluating and supporting projects developed by our external partners. You will analyze design documents, prototypes, and milestones, providing clear, constructive feedback. At times, you will also design specific systems or features to help refine the overall experience.

Attention to detail, a deep understanding of player psychology, and excellent communication skills are key to success in this position.

Apply now, this is more than just a job. This is an opportunity to become a part of something truly special!

Below you will find some key responsibilities:

  • Assessing external projects for design consistency, player experience, and execution quality,

  • Analyzing documentation (GDDs, feature descriptions, flows, etc.) and review milestone deliveries,

  • Delivering precise, actionable feedback — both written and verbal,

  • Collaborating closely with external partners by mentoring, proposing design solutions, and sharing expertise,

  • Supporting the design and refinement of core mechanics and systems when needed,

  • Working with internal teams (production, QA, narrative, art) to ensure a cohesive, high-quality experience,

  • Acting as an ambassador for Bloober Team’s commitment to quality and our “horror DNA.”

Feel free to apply if you have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Game Designer,

  • A strong understanding of the full game development lifecycle — from pitch to release,

  • Solid grasp of fundamental design principles: feedback loops, pacing, flow, and evoking player emotions,

  • A passion for psychological horror — knowing how to instill fear without relying solely on monsters,

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills,

  • Experience working with design documentation and production tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence),

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teams across different cultures and time zones.

It would be also nice to have:

  • Experience with AA or AAA game projects,

  • Previous experience collaborating with external partners (outsourcing, co-development, porting),

  • Familiarity with various horror sub-genres: psychological, narrative, grotesque, folk horror, etc.,

  • Basic knowledge of game engines (Unity, Unreal) — even for prototyping purposes,

  • Ability to create mockups, wireframes, and UX flows.
