George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, seeks an Instructor or Assistant Professor to teach undergraduate Game Design, Sound Design, and Game Music Composition while helping shape the future track in the Computer Game Design Program.

The position involves pursuing research and/or creative work to advance the field and contribute to a collaborative academic community within Mason Arts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• Master’s degree in related field, or 5+ years in Game Design or related industry.
• Extensive experience with sound design, game music composition, and related software/hardware.
• Experience with current game engines, editors, and project management software.
• Knowledge of workflow in multi-platform game production.

Responsabilités

• Teaches undergraduate Game Design, Sound Design, and Game Music Composition courses.
• Develops future track and contributes to research/creative endeavors.
